Yacht club/okw

We’re currently booked in at the yacht club in august 2022. When the 1 bed villas come up at okw I’m thinking of changing to one of those. We’ve stayed at okw twice in a one bed and we absolutely love it but really wanted to try a different resort to see what it’s like!? Just don’t want to be disappointed... what would you do? Stay with yacht club or get a 1 bed?

We’ve done both OKW 1-beds and Beach Club several times and love both.

I think it really comes down to what you personally prioritise most:

- space
- location

The answer will be different for everyone but, when we last made the same decision, we went with Beach Club.

The space in a one bed is amazing and we love the resort so much, definitely would like to try a different resort though and being so close to Epcot and hs would be fab x

Yeah, there's a lot to love about the oodles of space you get in an OKW 1-bed.

There's also a lot to love about sitting in your room and deciding you fancy a boozy slushy from France or some chips from the UK (or maybe both!) and having them in your hand less than 10 minutes later!

There's no wrong choice here - both are great - it's just deciding on the space/location toss of the coin.

We’ve also done both and really unhelpfully am going to echo Bozza - very different reasons to love both!

I would tend to say YC if it’s a short stay to maximise the location - we love that area so we can ‘pop in’ to Epcot on a whim (how that will work with park reservations now is anyone’s guess though!).

But the one bed at OKW is so absolutely huge

Are you planning to be in DS a lot? If so that might nudge me to OKW…

Perhaps you could try BC Villas - best of both worlds!

Because we love the space at okw and the feel of the resort I’d stay here every time! 😂 but that means we’d never stay anywhere else... yacht and beach club looks amazing as well!

Hahaha I like your thinking! Wonder what kind of price we’d be looking at for 2 weeks though? 🤔

I would choose the space at OKW without a doubt BUT as I've said many times, I'm not a huge Epcot fan so the location of YC is lost on me even though it's a lovely resort. And if park reservations stick around (Chapek seems to want them permanently) walking in on a whim may become more difficult.

Looking at David's calculator for some random dates in August, a 1 bed at BCV is about a third more expensive than OKW.
