Sadly it won't work for Steve C but good idea for others who have flights later in the year (fingers crossed)

Actually, if we get offered it we would take it as we have our own place over there so accommodation isn’t an issue and as we’re scheduled to go for 4 weeks we could cut it down to 3 weeks and 2 days in case any of the grandkids or teachers in our family have to quarantine before term starts.

If the 29th is the inaugural flight and if it does fly it might be worth looking at changing sooner rather than later if it is possible and you think it worth it. Hope it works out for you.

(Sorry about all the ifs - such a shame we can't say when it does instead)

Thanks. Just waiting for the feedback from our 4 kids, their partners and grandkids before calling Aer Lingus.

They mean the Aer Lingus MAN-MCO direct. I wouldn't ring AL today as customer service aren't great at the best of times and since the people on the phones will likely have found out about this a few hours ago they won't have a clue and will lie through their teeth as usual about what's cancelled and what isn't.

Stobart were due to stop running these services next year, they lost the contract to Emerald Airlines who are now working with Aer Lingus to start earlier
