300 plus CD’s
We have 300 or more CD’s bought over the last 40 years or so. They are currently stored on shelves in our summer house. I was having a tidy up today and said to DH we should get rid of them. Well you’d though I would have suggested getting rid of the kids. He’s adamant we keep them even though we don’t even have a CD player anymore.
Has anyone got rid of all those CD’s loving collected over the years, are they in a dark corner somewhere, or are they lovingly played and listened to? If I had my way they’d all go to the dump. |

I don't believe Compact Discs presently have the cache of vinyl, or even cassettes, but they will do.
One slight problem is the older ones can suffer disc rot, and no longer play properly. If the CDs are home made they may be blank anyway, as the ink fades over time. I have been surprised to find all sorts of my discs are useless, photo backups, holiday videos, TV recordings. I would definitely keep everything. |

My goodness that’s a lot of CD’s Wayne, do you still play them are they in any order?
Just had a look at that case, may be an idea, at least I wouldn’t have to look at them. |

Sold ours a few years ago. I kept a few that aren’t available on Spotify. It can be fun seeing what some of your more unusual CDs fetch - given the average album only seemed to be worth about £0.70 it’s almost flattering when one of your rarer CDs is valued at £12!
