Post chemo/ cancer weight loss
I HATE being overweight. I need to lose two stone, I know I'm only ten weeks post chemo but I'm struggling
I'm a team RH girlie so calories in and out. I've upped steps from 5 to 7k day TRH have given me additional calories. Last time 2019, the weight dropped easily. This time it's stubbornly staying Anyone else struggled post chemo/ cancer? |

I did - I put lots of weight on. I started SW and lost 5 stone. I then stopped SW and started to put it back on. It’s never easy!

Getting Excited
|
Hi Tink,
I finished chemo back in March 2015, struggled for a few years with the weight gain, hair loss, fatigue etc… I stumbled across a charity called “Move Against Cancer” - it helped so much. They also run the “5KYOURWAY” Monthly Park Run events which I became an ambassador for (prior to Covid) I’m back finally at my pre chemo/cancer weight, and probably fitter than I was before too! You’ve just finished treatment, be kind to yourself, and sending a big hug xx |

Lost weight on chemo from being sick with look / taste / smell of any food. Piled 2 stone on 6 months after I finished and still have it. I blame steroids. Tiredness hasn't gone away and that makes me not want to exercise so I understand.

An after affect of chemo for me is a runny nose! Ive now realised its worse when I get hot! So drinking hot drinks or doing anything where I get hot really like exercise affects that.
Ive put weight on as a result of the post chemo medication, so I’m stuck with that, as any exercise causes other problems. Peopie who’ve never gone through chemo treatment won’t understand the affects it really has, so big hugs from me. My hair still isn’t the same and my eyebrows have never grown back totally, something I still struggle with. So big hugs from me to everyone who has had to go through chemo and it’s after effects. |
