Cocoa Beach
Hi we are going to drive to KSC to get there for when it opens, we will have a hire car, so do you think we will have time to drive onto Cocoa Beach in the early evening to have a dip before driving back to our Walt Disney hotel? We have children aged 6&9

We always head to the beach after KSC, it makes a nice end to the day.

its about 30 miles away so plan in the travel time, from leaving the park to parking up could be up to an hour.
we stayed in cocoa overnight and drove to Kenedy the next day, it seemed to take ages, at least hour from memory (traffic lights etc). If you just want a beach you can drive to cape canaveral also, basically just head east! Great sea if your kids like waves! I like the east coast, its got a breeze and surf! Mark |

hello
we stayed a couple of nights at Cocoa Beach last May before our cruise. We are not sand or beach lovers but we really enjoyed our stay. We were surprised how warm the ocean was and we spent ages in and out of the waves. Our hotel was on the beach front almost next to the pier. There was a large car park behind the pier and lots going on in the area, surfers, volleyball, kite flying etc. We did KSC on a previous trip and were back in Orlando mid afternoon. On reflection if we did it again we would definitely add on an evening visit to Cocoa Beach. Great plan, enjoy |

Thanks everyone, I think we will try & drive over there after KSC, as the kids would love to have a dip in the sea before heading back to WDW.
