Just got in from a Walmart shop, bought a large bottle of wine. Then went to the liquor store and bought vodka. This was at Caggans crossing Walmart.

Just as an aside question, is tonic water available to buy. Usually stick to wine but thought may take duty free gin with us

During our August trip, me and our 19 year old son called into the Walmart alcohol shop in front of the Old Lake Wilson Rd store and he helped me to carry some bottles to the till. The assistant asked to see his ID and I said he's 19 but he's just helping me and I was the purchaser and he wouldn't be consuming any of it. She refused to serve me.

I offered to put everything back on the shelves, send him out of the store and re-pick the items to which she again said she wouldn't serve me as our son had touched the alcohol. At this point her colleagues suggested that she was being a little over zealous and I should be served as I was clearly the purchaser. She told them to do whatever they wanted to but she was having no part of it and she stormed out. They then served me.

Not surprised tbh. As discussed earlier, there is the potential of the liability being passed onto the assistant, so they are super cautious
