Advice Please Miami to Orlando Anna Maria Island Cape Coral
Hi Folks
Our Disney vacation is booked from the 13th - 27th June 2015, my family consists of my wife and i, 18yr old daughter & partner, 23 yr old son & partner, I booked their flights months ago but haven't booked my wives or mine (she would freak if she knew). I am trying to hatch an evil plan that will see my wife and i fly out on the 7th June, I intend to fly to Miami, hire a car and drive to Cape Coral & Anna Maria Island spending a couple of days in each, eventually ending up in Orlando to meet our children off the plane on the 13th June. Please can any of you recommend places of interest to stop along the way? I hear Anna Maria Island is amazing, however have not heard much about Cape Coral, I would love to swim with Manatees or do something a bit adventurous, just feel like i don't know where to start. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks John |

Getting Excited
|
Hi, we spent a week in Cape Coral last year. Cape Coral is quite a residential area and quite a number of the properties back onto water. You can spend a lazy afternoon fishing off your dock or possibly hire a boat for a couple of days and head out to sanibel island or fort myers. We used Cape Coral as a base from which to have days out in sanibel island and fort myers. Can definitely recommend Sanibel island (unspoilt, natural beaches and loved the don't feed the alligator signs!)

Thank you markiemark90 for that excellent link, and to plitten for your info on Coral Bay, I have changed my mind already and have booked our flights from manchester on the 6th June £354! Bargain, on the Dreamliner too! so we get there a week before our adult children arrive and are going to spend most of it on Anna Maria Island, thanks again for all your help
