Mobile Weather at Christmas

Thinking about going to Florida (Fly drive, Orlando, Miami, South Florida beach) around Christmas. Have two teenagers who love the water and would like to go to a water park and swim in pools/sea. Would that be possible at the time and where is best to go weatherwise at that time of year? Thanks

Depends. Weather is massively variable. In one two week break leading up to NYE we swam with dolphins (needed the full wet suits but pleasant) and scraped ice off the car and had to buy full winter coats and gloves and apply hats. If swimming is important I personally wouldn’t risk December.

We’ve spent every Christmas for the last 4-5 years; as above, it’s very variable.
We’ve had extreme heat (80’s) needing the pool to cool off but also had cold days too (40-50’s).

As above the only answer is variable. I certainly wouldn't count on much ocean swimming. 2 years ago we didn't even need to turn the pool heat on but other years water parks have closed for low temperatures.

Most of our florida trips have been at the end of December and as others have said the weather is very variable it can be very chilly one day to very hot the next
Our last two trips the weather hasnt been brilliant at all and we had a few cold and wet days
