I hoe it was hot enough to kill all those lurking nastiness (I wont chance a turkey i slow cooker unless it was in pieces) - go for the gammon, be safer and enjoy

If if makes you feel any better. I've just got the turkey crown out of the fridge. Defrosting since Wednesday night. I poked it yesterday and it seemed soft. Anyhow apart from that soft bit the rest is completely frozen

My salmon and prawns are taking an age to defrost.

I’ve just brought my turkey in from the outside (not often used fridge) and discovered it is semi frozen. Currently in cold water and dinner will be late. 😭😭😭
