Last minute as usual, help me out Dibbers!

We go on holiday on Friday, so as usual I've left everything till the last minute, still need to do the usual...

Housesitter manual,
Buy more dog & cat food
Pack
etc. etc.

On top of that, we land late evening and DS has his DofE expedition at 8am the next morning, so we need to have his backpack ready to go before we leave.

Obviously I'm working up until 5pm on Thursday so have today and tomorrow to get sorted.

What are my essentials for DofE please?

We have the kit list and most items from it from his last expedition, I'm just being an airhead and seem to be be doing my usual procrastinating and last minute panicking!

My kids essential was a hat with a mesh net ! They laughed when they saw it but they soon put it on when everyone else was getting bit to death by midgies or mozzies .
And decent walking socks.

Put everything inside bags/ bin liners in case it rains

Drinking bottle. You can get them that go in your backpack and then you have a tube into your mouth. Cannot remember what its called. Blister plasters

Toilet roll
Line his back pack with a bin bag.

Make sure you pack a few pairs of socks, wet socks are a nightmare, dont worry about pj’s...they wont use them, suncream, hat, snacks, ...my daughter is doing hers through explorers ( scouts) , feel so sorry for them having to carry so much x
