Mickey at Town Square Theatre - Still "Talking"?!

Have booked a FP for our first day at MK to meet Mickey, is he still "talking" or was that just a trial thing?!

He talked to us but not to my dad and we were within 5 mins of each other seeing him.

He was talking on Tuesday, he was absolutely brilliant with dd7. I've been here 3 weeks and every time I've checked he's not been less than 30 min wait so I used a fastpass

We went to see him 4 times in May on different days and he didn't talk to us once

Cast members kept saying come back again later I'm sure he'll be talking then. Because they have to stay in character I couldn't get a straight answer as to why he wasn't talking or find out before going in each time.

Gave up after the 4th attempt when dd asked why we kept going back to see the same Mickey.

There are only a couple of "friends of Mickey that have the right voice". Not every cast member is trained in using the 'software' and the costume is probably heavier than regular costumes, meaning shorter times on stage. According to my MK character greeter friend, it's completely random as to when talking Mickey is or isn't there. For those of you that realise there is more than one door at Town Square Theatre, talking Mickey is only behind one of those doors at any one time, so it will also depend on which door you get shown to!

He is permanently talking. We were at Disneyland California two weeks ago and in every show we saw and even in the parade he is "talking" and blinking his eyes.
