glasses?

Has anyone ever bought presciption glasses out there? If so are they cheaper?

To get new lenses for myself here in the uk it will cost me 140 pounds, without a frame! (i have to have them thinned) and I wondered if I could get them out there and if it would be cheaper.

Also do you know where I could get them done?

Any advice appreciated,thanx xx

Yes, they are much cheaper in Walmart, but go as soon as you arrive as they can take up to 10 days.

Supertarget also has an onsite optician, but I agree with Raymond, order them when you arrive. I took my prescription with me last year, but left it too late. Lenses were much cheaper. (Although I eventually bought mine online - for £42, frames and lenses with anti- reflective coating.) If you want to know more, PM me!
