Yeah, thinking about it some more we reckon that with multiple staircases in each block you may actually get FEWER people walking past the window than you would with an internal but long corridor (all heading towards the sole staircase/lifts area).
We even had a corner room one year, right next to the staircase. No extra bother whatsoever.

I agree. We’ve had some terrible noise from internal corridors but only once at CSR noticed noise. That was the neighbours calling to each other every time they went out for the day!

We were at POFQ this September and had no problems with foot traffic/noise, to the extent that I was able to effectively use the corridor as a defacto balcony when I wanted to 😊 Lovely resort - small, quiet, excellent QS options and Scat Cats makes for an awesome night out when the band are playing 😊

We stayed at POFQ last year and loved it! I don’t remember much traffic past the room, we were on the second floor so it will really only be the people on the same floor. Even on the ground floor the rooms are set back from the path so we never had to walk right past any ground floor windows. We loved the resort, plan a trip in 2025 and will most likely pick POFQ again!

I've never had issues with foot traffic in POFQ but we try to stay in one of the buildings that doesn't overlook the pool as this is probably the noisiest area. But even the pool at FQ seems quieter and calmer than others on property.

The noisiest hotels I’ve stayed in have been Beach Club and OKW. Beach Club people were coming and going all day and into the night one year. When we had a room there overlooking the quiet pool it was better. OKW our adjoining neighbours were horrendous. I guess that could happen anywhere. Very shouty family. I’ve stayed in moderates 7 times and the only noise issue we had was the pool at POFQ when we overlooked it during summer. I didn’t mind that as it’s happy noise but it would bother others. I wouldn’t stay in the moderate type of property off site as I wouldnt feel safe, but have always felt safe at Disney. That of course may be nativity.

Yes, the POFQ rooms are motel style with external corridors rather than hotel style with internal corridor. The same is true for most of the moderate rooms at Disney.
Personally, I feel I've heard more noise from people walking/running up and down internal corridors in hotels than I have from the external corridors at Disney's moderate resorts. Most of the rooms don't open up onto main thoroughfares, especially if you are on a higher level than ground floor. There are some ground floor rooms close to the main building / lobby area that might get more people going past them. Whereas rooms away from the main building will tend to get less passing traffic. This is one of those cases where choosing a preferred room may not be such a good idea.
