good choice
we stayed at the sheraton aniheim when we went and it was a great hotel and very close to disney land, we all loved it.
we drove down to vegas for 3 days on the spur of the moment and won a vw beetle car on a 5 cent slot machine which of course made it the best holiday ever for me.. by the way if this happens to you dont panic as the casino offered me the cash instead so no worries about having to ship home a lefthand drive car home... |

Your trip sounds amazing, i was in Las Vegas about 6 years ago & we did the night helicopter flight. There was a place on the strip that you could just walk up to & leave on the next helicopter, it saved us booking a trip that would we would have probably got picked up at our hotel for. Im sure it was around $80 each for a 15 min helicopter ride, it went over the strip to Downtown & back again.

it obviously depends upon which direction they land from due to the wind direction but when we landed the view to be had was from the left hand side of the plane as the runway is parrellel with the strip and very close to it so you get a good view of all the hotels before getting off the plane.

hey sarah!
this is so odd! it literally is like reading what im up to! haha. Basically we had/have disney booked for late Aug taking my younger brothers but they can't come anymore so going to put that back a year or two and me and my boyfriend are venturing to Vegas and San Diego (his lifetime dream) have to say at the start i wasnt overly excited (think i was more gutted about having to cancel disney) but since ive been searching more and more i can't wait! Oh rough guide so far is: Fly direct to vegas (stay 2 nights in nice hotel) drive to san diego (nervous about this bit!) stay in and arund SD for 9 nights in the best hotel that our budget will allow? drive back to Vegas (hopefully less nervous!) stay in vegas for 3 nights (in a really good hotel) fly direct home to manchester the reason for flying direct is i've just come back form NYC where i had in-direct flights with one stop and i fractured my spine few years back so it really was so uncomfortable, not even read all your info properly got so excited i had to post you! Will now go back and read properly! Fi x

Arghh no sorry you have cancelled Disney, but im sure you will stil have a wonderful time in Vegas & San Diego
Your plans sound great, SD looks gorgeous its somehwere ive wanted to visit for a while infact all the places we plan to stay on our trip i've always wanted to go to. Have you booked anything yet? Vegas hotels look great, you can book a great 4 or 5* for great prices when the right deals come up |
