Just updated to say that the Heathrow Hotel for our stay before we come home, couldn't get the £9 Travelodge Rate, so now booked Renaissance, got it for £55 using some airmiles, that includes hot buffet breakfast, so not too bad. It's nearer to the airport than the travelodge so our taxi from the airport will be less expensive now.

It's all coming together now, so exciting for you & Sam

Hope the Renaissance is nice, not a bad price including breakfast. Your taxi to there should be about £8, if it's along the Bath road which I know there is one there

Yes it's the one on Bath Road, reviews on trip advisor are mixed, but hopefully it will be OK, it's just a room to sleep in, but has air-con which will be good if it's hot weather, so we can get a good sleep, and then have a nice brekky before heading off to the airport for our flight up to Manchester. I got the little google maps man out, and there's a petrol station over the road, and a pub serving food a bit further up, so at least we can get something to eat or snacks without paying silly airport/hotel prices.

I said to Sam, it's 6 months today that we will be flying out to LA, are you excited yet, she said no, it's too far away, you know me, it will be the day before when I get excited! So I guess I have to be excited for both of us!

Ahem, just had another little adjustment to the itinerary. Have now decided to go back to staying in Hollywood for the final night, lol, main reason is I found a shuttle company who will take us from HOJOs to Hollywood for a decent price, so now staying at the Renaissance for the last night, which will give us more time in Hollywood and save us having two 2 hour coach journeys in one day.

Promise that's the last change now, Sarah!

The Renaissance Hollywood looks fabulous, but very pricey! I would love to stay there but it's a bit out of my price range as i have to wear all the cost myself

It's a great hotel, we've stayed there once before, can't be beat for location. Got lucky as we're staying a saturday night, so it was $191 per night plus tax, not too bad, as DD and I are sharing the cost, but yes a bit expensive for someone paying the whole bill themselves.

I've only just seen your thread as I've not been around on here much since Christmas...just been too busy.

It sounds like a great plan, you countdown is going down nicely

Mazzy, Mazzy, Mazzy I just knew there would still be more changes made, if I were you just keep ypur plans to yourself and of course us untill the week before and then let Sam know what she's doing otherwise i think her head will get in a big fuzzy mess with you changing the plans so often

I don't believe this will be your last change but it does make sense to spend the last night in Hollywood espcially with the flight time home being late and means you can spend most of that day there.

It's very true, I told Sam I've got another idea, and she can decide, I read it all out, and she just sat there and said 'Tell me that again'. So she's well on the way to having a head that's a big fuzzy mess already!
