Siesta Key Village (similar destinations)

We love Siesta Key for the last few days of our holiday as its got a lovely beach, lots of nice restaurants and live music all within waling distance and a lovely feel & vibe. Basically, the car gets parked and doesn't move until we leave which is a fantastic contrast to the rest of our holiday.

However, we've been twice now and last time was during the 'red tide' problem in 2018 so on our next trip I wondered whether there were any similar destinations to try or maybe we should just go back again.

Would love to hear your experiences of anything similar.

I think Anna Marie Island is the nearest comparison but personally I would choose Siesta Key Village.

If it's the chance of red tide spoiling things you either book as close to travel time as possible or go to the Atlantic coast.

For a village atmosphere Flagler Beach.

I agree totally, we go to Flagler every holiday, love it there but I honestly don't think it is a comparison with Siesta Key or AMI and it's quite a distance, further than St Augustines.

The main reason for asking is in case there are other places similar that we could try as like to try new things although SK ticks all the boxes for us so will probably end up going back.

Red tide does worry me though.

Flagler Beach is just over 70 miles from Orlando but St Augustine is over 100 miles.

How far is it from Flagler Beach to Walt Disney World? The distance between Flagler Beach and Walt Disney World is 79 miles. The road distance is 99 miles.

Walt Disney to St Augustines, 2 h 13 min (122.9 mi) via I-4 E and I-95 N

My apologies, I transposed them.
