Water quality in WDW water bottle refill stations

I thought most of the fountains and ice water were still pretty disgusting when I was there in May but at least some of the fountains were cool!

We used them no problems but took a Robinson’s ‘Squashed’ with us and used this for the fussier members in our group 😊

fountains are fine to me but the iced water that comes out of the drink dispenser is really bad! probably to put you off and pay for the overpriced Dasani water.

A few years ago I thought the fountains tasted horrible, I'll give them another go this year though.

We were there in May, the fountain water wasn’t as bad as I remember it before but still not great. We used Bolero water sachets to take the nasty taste away, makes it a lot easier to drink

We found them much better this year..

When in MK...head to Peco Bills and to the right of the serving area / tills there were large containers of water to top up your bottles... or grab ready made cups ... ice cold and tasted fine

The water fountains we tried were warm. We much prefer to get the cups of iced water from the QS places.

The water bottle refill station in starlight cafe at MK was nice and cold when we used it yesterday and I just add a squirt of those Robinson’s “squashed” to it anyway. That said without the squash the water tasted fine and was a welcome thirst quencher, saves carrying loads of bottled water around with you too! Bonus!

We've had plenty of water out of the fountains in Epcot and MK over the last two days and it's tasted absolutely fine.
From previous reading here I was expecting a warm swampy soup.
We've just topped up from the fountains or filled up when inside restaurants. Haven't come across a bottle fill yet.

Thanks for all the replies. It sounds like
A) the bottle refill stations are good but not many around
B) outside fountains have improved but free iced water fro QS is mostly better
