Pop Century Preferred Rooms

Can anyone advise if these are really worth the extra per night from a standard room and you’d be closer to the Food Court?

I’m not sure how big the resort is, we’re used to staying POFQ and most rooms are not that far from the Food Court / Buses but we’re not really interested in a 10 min walk back to the room after a day walking around the parks

Thanks

Pop is a very similar layout to FQ in terms of lobby to building placement, but roughly twice the overall size.

The thing with Pop preferred though is that they don't have entire buildings. The half closer to the lobby is preferred while the rest is standard. So there could be only a few seconds walking difference between the two room types depending where in the building you get placed.

Personally, unless the cost difference was quite small, I would book standard. Take a look at the resort map and then add a room request for the section that appeals to you the most. 60s will put you very close to both the lobby and Skyliner. 70s would also be fairly quick to everywhere. Obviously it's not guaranteed but even if I got placed in an outer building, I'd take more money in my pocket for a couple of extra minutes walk any day.

Also it seems only the standard rooms at certain dates have the dining credit and the $200 gift card

It may be that the regular preferred are already sold out. Pool view rooms in either location category are excluded from the offer.

We stayed in the 50’s block when we were last there.
It took 5 mins to walk to the lobby/food court and about 6 mins to the Skyliner.
I really like Pop Century and love the room lay out too 😊

If you like to be near the food court then the 60s block by the hippy dippy pool. When we where there we did not asked but we did get a preferred room it was facing the pool on the first floor the second time we just asked can we please be in the 60s block and where happy to put us there.

We also requested the 60s block when doing the online check in and found it super handy for the main building and skyliner!

Hi

Sorry to reopen an old thread but can't find an answer anywhere - Does anyone know if you get much noise coming into the rooms from the hippy dippy pool facing rooms? Is it better in the 60s block to ask for lake view instead?

Thanks!
