having never done a beach break I was thinking of a few days at AMI.

However, when I go to one of the websites that locals seem to use all of the accommodations are shared pool?
Is this normal?

Can anyone recommend a company or renter?

Not looking for anythin specific, so not lots of bedrooms etc, but walkable to some restaurants.

We love Anna Maria Island and have only booked via Airbnb and VRBO previously. I’ve looked at some of the local rental places but struggled to get less than a weeks rental and some astronomical prices to boot. We have a house booked via VRBO for this Oct and it has its own pool as so do many others. Worth taking a look.
Editing to say, we’re only staying 3 nights and have our own pool.

We have booked a condo at Tortuga Inn via VRBO for our December stay of 5 nights. Also looked at Airbnb for properties too.

Usually a week is needed for booking a place with a private pool👍

We have 4 nights booked in May 2022 through Airbnb.
It is a villa with its own private pool.
Fully cancellable up to a week beforehand.
Accommodation is pretty expensive on AMI but that unfortunately is the nature of the beast.
It is worth it as it is absolutely lovely and this will be our 3rd visit.
Very popular place with Dibbers and lots of informative Threads if you use the Search function.
