Getting Excited

Thank you everyone, spoken to the current owners, and have been reassured. Feeling much better about everything now.
Details are being sent to the new owners of those who currently have bookings, and all prices and arrangements will be honoured. I've looked at the new owners to be website and it all looks very nice and proper.

What is encouraging is the current owners had the decency to let you know what was going on. Credit to them for being open and trying to smooth the transfer.

Excited about Disney

Just been reading this thread…. We’ve booked for Aug 2022 & just seen our dates advertised as available!
Contacted the owner to be told they sold in January & that they don’t know if our booking will be honoured by the new owner. To say I’m not happy would be an understatement. They’ve said we can use our deposit on another one of their properties. It’s smaller & not lake side. There has been no suggestion it’s cheaper. I’m awaiting the new owners details but 48 hours later haven’t heard anything. I’m about to go to defcon 5… as out deposit was nearly £2k…..

That’s awful, well thankfully the owner for us was very informative and helpful.
However after being reassured once the new owner made contact the terms and conditions where different (wanted $500 credit card hold, non refundable security deposit plus 50% deposit) and we ended up cancelling. We did get a refund on our deposit which was thankfully only £100 anyway. I hope you get sorted, I would be asking for refund too. The trust has gone and you will never feel comfortable. |
