Travel sickness medication

I need to buy some for our grandson (nearly 15). I want one that won’t make him sleepy but don’t know where to start. Heeeeeeelp!

It's a bit if trial and error to find what works for you

Cinnarizine (Sturgeron) or Prochlorperazine (Buccastem) which you place between top lip and gum and it dissolves.

Not sure of the age restrictions or drowsiness- I've taken both recently due to vertigo

Stugeron works for me. Boots knock me out but Stugeron doesn’t.

I’ve used joy rides for my oldest who is now 11 and they didnt seem to make him drowsy. I got them from boots I think.
Maybe worth trying before you go though just in case they do have any adverse affects

We like Kwells as instant. Sturgeon as an alternative but they take an hour to take affect.

Ooh, that takes me back. Joy Rides, one of those round tins of sweets you bought from motorway service stations, where the sweets were covered in icing sugar, and a cassette player with my favourite tapes to sing along to. That was every long car journey in the 70s for me!

We found Stugeron worked well for our DD - you do have to be organised and take them early for full effect. I think one of the kids had joy rides when we couldn’t get any stugeron once and it knocked them out - welcome at the time lol!

Daughter also has used Sturgeron. She has also used the travel sickness wrist bands. I’m not sure how they work but they seem to.

I used the travel sick bands when I was pregnant. Travelling in the car/plane made me feel more nauseous than I was already, and I found the bands helped.

Stugeron were recommended by the doctors as can also take alongside most medication. Started using them when my brother was 7 and both my kids have used them.
