Anyone know when the dreaded crane goes up in MK?

I've just remembered about the crane as we go end of August next year, so wondering is it up around then? Hate it being in our pics, it caught us 1 year before but it was at the end of our holiday in the middle of January.

Why does the crane go up?. Is it for the decorations? How long does it stay up?

I don't remember seeing it when we went October 2014... but the hub was such a mess then that I was probably distracted by all the diggers 😂

Yes, it goes up for the Christmas lights but it takes a while so I was hoping it wasn't as early as August.

Hopefully be gone by October! Couldn't they paint it blue or something , or do the decorations at park close. Everyone pays enough for this to happen I think. My opinion.
