Going through security

Can someone please tell me what we actually need to get through security. Hubby has Parkinson’s and normally we just take all his pills with a copy of his medication. He’s never been asked for it. However he has recently he has to take infusion over a period of several hours (usually during the day) via a portable, battery-driven pump (a syringe driver) using a pre-filled syringe. We will be taking all all this with us. What I’d like to know is, we already have a letter from the pharmaceutical company re the pump, etc. But do you think we should take a Drs letter as well or will the prescription be enough.

Also when going through security there will be 40 syringes ( taking 6 days spare) should I just put as many as I can in a plastic bags as I definitely won’t get them in one 20cm bag. Also I would have to take them out of the box they came in, so how will security know they are what they are supposed to be. Hope I make sense.

On the gatwick security advice it says you can take over 100ml of medication with prescription or doctors note (I would maybe take both or at least the doctors note).

I would maybe keep it in the box so that it is all together and ask them at security as you go through what they would want you to do with it place it in bags or if they can scan it in the box. I know that my friend had to take a single bottle of medicine that was over the 100ml and they didn't make her put it in a plastic bag.
