Id never run in my life and it worked for me. The key is to follow the program and dont try and go too fast

Yes, follow it properly tho, dont be fooled into doing more than what it actually tells you to do.

It's amazing .. I went from not running for the bus last year to running 25-30 miles per week and training for a marathon 😲

Mind it has just cost 120 for new running trainers as I'd worn out my others lol

Most definitely. I am 58 and never ran my DD s BF is a fitness instructor and convinced me to give it a go. My 1st run /walk I was sure would be my last I was so out of breath but learning how to breathe correctly I stuck at it and eventually even started to enjoy it. I persevered and did my first 5K and then took part in my 1st parkrun with my family cheering me on I felt so proud of myself. Even my DH used to say I never thought Id hear the day you said Im going for a run

So the motto is never say never if I can do it anyone can and it makes you feel so good about yourself.

I did a C25K beginners course with a local womans running group last year. They were so supportive and I've made some good friends through the group.

Having never so much as run for the bus in the last twenty years. I completed a 5k park run (along with my 12 year old daughter) just before my 41st birthday 😊

I just started a few weeks ago. Did week 3 day 1 today 😀

Im unfit, overweight and havent exercised for a few years. I joined the local gym recently to try to tackle these and thought Id give c25k a go.

Im actually enjoying it, though I never thought Id say that! But I am finding it hard. It just seems to take me to the limit each time so I feel its set at the right level. Any harder and Id have given up I think.

Its great to hear others stories to help motivate.

Im aiming for the Castaway 5K in August, really hoping I can do it.

Good luck op.

Absolutely!
First photo was around 3 weeks into the 9 week c25k programme

Last photo was 8 stone down and running mile 25 of 26.2 at the Manchester Marathon
Not only did I finish it in a great time (wanted sub 5 and did it in 4:44) I loved every mile!

It took me 18 months to go from couch to marathon

Good luck!
