Itinerary Advice
Hi,
Planning a road trip along the Pacific Highway (San Francisco to Los Angeles) and would appreciate some advice. Current itinerary: 2 nights - San Francisco 1 night- Monterey 1 night- Cambria 1 night- Santa Barbara 4 nights - LA My question is whether to cancel the night in Cambria and have 2 nights in Santa Barbara instead? We have been to Cambria before but never been to Santa Barbara. We have plans in LA and have to be there for 4 nights, having to arrive for early afternoon on the 1st day there. Therefore my concern is that an over night stay in Santa Barbara will not be long enough but am equally concerned that the drive from Monterey to Santa Barbara is too much to do in 1 day. Any advice would be appreciated x |

hi for us we would put the extra night in Monterey, but Santa Barbara is lovely as well. Have you ever done whale watching from Monterey if not please consider, its one of the best things we have ever done.

i would take the night in Cambria out.. and spend it in San Francisco.
With just 2 nights, I am guessing that you will only have one full day in a City where there is loads to see, having arrived in the afternoon.. 1. Alcatraz 2. Cycle with Dylans over the Golden Gate, see Sausolito then visit Muir Woods. 3. Cable cars 4. Walt Disney Museum 5. Fishermens Wharf. 6. Haight Ashbury 7. Possible 6 flags.
