As far as I am aware Airbnb is illegal in New York City so take care when you are looking for accomodation.

We are a family of 5 and stayed at the New Yorker (Wyndham hotel)
Very nice, a really good price when we went and a short walk away from Times Square. We had a family room, so DH and I had the pull-out bed in the lounge (really easy to pull out each evening and put away in the morning) and the boys had two double beds in the bedroom. Two bathroooms and plenty of space.

I have booked through HomeAway but have also spoken direct with the owner. The apartment has 189 reviews and is rated 4.9/5.0 so I am confident with this booking.

Airbnb is not illegal, they tried to stop people renting out as the locals had nowhere to live but I am sure it was overturned in court. We have just come back from an amazing air bnb apartment. For a family it really is a good option and we had so much space. Plus our views were amazing

We ended up going with what we could afford which was Doubletree by Hilton ! Couple of mixed reviews but for the location and somewhere to lay our heads for the night ,we paid £907 for 6 nights after getting £139 off using our Tesco club card vouchers hope it will be ok 🤞🤞🤞

We have just come back from NY last Monday - stayed in a family suite at the Riu Plaza - there were only 3 of us - we were upgraded to a family suite had a great view and were given chocolates as we were all celebrating birthdays - we had 2 kingsize beds and a pull down couch - breakfast was included and was lovely - a buffet with everything you can think of - 5 mins walk from Times Square - it was really lovely - we got a good offer through Vodafone - try and check it out I really wo uld recommend.
