Upgrading to an annual pass (Disney)

Hi Friends of mine are planning two trips next year first with a 5nights stay at valve resort then moving offsite for another 16nights & then staying offsite for the whole trip later in the year am I right in thinking they can upgrade there tickets from there package to annuals & the could still take advantage of the free breakfasts. x

I don’t know about the free breakfast but we upgraded our passes at the ticket booths at the entrance to the park on our first day then went to customer services and picked up our free magic bands

Do you mind me asking how much it was to upgrade?

Its basically the price of the current tickets (which I think are either $1192 or $1299 with water parks) minus the price of the 14 day on the Disney system (which is around $500)
