Nintendo Switch

Hi, we brought a Nintendo switch back in the UK for our sons birthday, we are leaving in a few days and he has some spare money as was wondering if he gets a game cartridge from Target for example will it still work on the console in the UK and also when. Connecting to the tv back home. I think the console should be ok but not sure on tv part, can anyone confirm?

The game cartridge will definitely work as the switch consoles aren’t locked to a region. The console should also connect to the tv fine. Not sure about the mains power lead to the dock though? I brought my UK switch with me to Orlando and it connects to the tv fine.

Ditto - just back and my son brought a few games, they work fine.
Connection to TV is HDMI so you'll be fine -

This is taken from the Nintendo web site.
Are Nintendo Switch game cards region-locked?
Nintendo Switch game cards are not region locked.

Can Nintendo Switch play games from a different region?
Although Nintendo Switch software sold in regions outside of the Americas will work with Nintendo Switch systems sold in the Americas, we have not tested all overseas software with systems from all regions and cannot guarantee full service and support. Therefore, we recommend that players purchase software that is specifically made for their Nintendo Switch system's region.

In a nut shell as the games are not locked there should be no problem with playing any games bought. As it is a hdmi connection there will be not problem with the switch connecting to the tv. (Either in the uk or us)

since we moved to hdmi connectors on consoles rather than RGB/SCART/composite, there is no longer a worry about 50/60hz PAL/NTSC conversions and TV's being compatible...
