I wished I had thought about this now. The great flight prices I saw have now gone up but Ill keep an eye out again as I would love to spend a few days in Canada.

What is your layover time? We did it a few years ago and took ages to clear both Canadian and American Immigration. We had 4 hours so 2 hrs for Immigration, got food and drink then went to gate. From what I remember we didn't have too long to wait.

One upside being that Toronto has pre-clearance and the layover time is pretty decent.

Has anyone had a transfer here and how easy/difficult was it?

I appreciate as well as an ESTA to get into the US I'll need the Canadian version of this even just to transfer through the airport.
Done that trip a few times and it works really well.
