Car hire confusion
I’m looking to book car hire (7 seat mini van) from 19/08/20 - 04/09/20. 16 days. When I look on comparison sites the only company offering prices are Hertz. When do all the other companies release their prices?
I’m sure for last years Florida trip I was able to book 12 months out from travel. Can anyone help? Anth. |

OP. Still slightly early for you. Brits is bang on 12 months as are a few others.
Virgin are way ahead of your dates but are expensive at the moment. I tend to book just under a year out then amend every time the price drops. So important to book with a company that allows free changes.

Cheers guys. I’ll maybe leave it a couple of weeks and see if prices drop when the competition is out but I’ll definitely give Andy a shout.

If you only want 1 driver the field hugely opens up. Don't forget sites such as Netflights, uscarhire, usrentacar etc etc.

Who offers free amendments Tom and is it easy to do, never bothered in the past. Looking to book a standard SUV from 15th August for 16 days never booked this class before, what sort of price should I be looking at?

I would say the easiest to do an amendment online is Brits. Andy you have to contact him but not any hassle just not instantaneous.
Virgin don't offer amendments so you have to cancel and rebook which is a pain. Most of the others you can amend online. I can't help with your other bit sorry as we are flying home early today for a family funeral. Our Summer booking is always 4 weeks mid Aug to mid Sept. Standard SUV circa £760.
