I was thinking of saving this until it’s finished but obviously I haven’t
I love the pre-travel day is like Christmas Eve concept!
I can’t believe you had an unexpected linen pants packing problem, I understand the Max and his swim shorts as obviously he is allowed to grow but Dave!
I think your hotel looks nice, especially the fact it had grounds to walk round rather than the usual airport overnight hotels car parks/industrial landscapes. Shame the rooms didn’t really connect. I’m impressed there was no sitting in the bathroom this year!

Oh I know I wasn't best pleased with Dave as you say Max is a 15 year old boy (well 14 at the time) so to be expected but a fully grown man of 48...

The hotel was nice with the grounds. It was about a 10 minute taxi ride in the morning so not too far from the airport and the further out you go the cheaper it is usually. The whole thing with the parking for 16 nights was £120 so not bad really.

There was a night time visit to the bathroom, but I forced myself to have just a quick read of the Dibb and then go back to bed. I did sleep better this year.
