Keep going back and forth on plans but think I am settling on flying in and out of LA.

Initial few nights in LA with long drive one evening to Fresno then stop for night there before driving to Yosemite early next morning then staying for a 2 to 3 nights before making our way to Montery then back down coast to LA.

Funny side note regarding Yosemite.

Was talking to a woman at work who'd done a west coast trip and I have been saying Yosemite as "YOZ-MITE" to my wife as I'd only seen it seen it written and incorrectly assumed that is how it was said.

It wasn't until she corrected me to say it as YO-SE-MI-TEE felt slightly embarrassed but made me laugh when I told my wife
My husband calls it YO-SET-IMEE even though we have been there and I correct him each time. He just cant say it

We are going in Easter 2020 and have just planned our trip.

We have chosen to stick to the coast and are planning:
3 nights San Francisco
2 nights Monterey
1 night Cambria
1 night Santa Barbara
2 nights LA
3 nights San Diego
4 nights Anaheim

We are flying into San Fran then out of LA, picking up the hire car when we leave San Fran then dropping it off in Anaheim as wont need it at the parks.

My kids will be 8 & 5 when we go but we did a road trip round Iceland with them at 6 & 3 so I think they will be fine. Put Disneyland at the end so its a treat for them after all the scenery and long drives.

Just ourselves; we’ve done the flights and car hire and most hotels now. Still need to get tickets etc.
