What car?

Hi all,

We are 5a & 2ch travelling next year - booked a 7 seater minivan with Alamo.

I am fully expecting that this car will not be big enough for all of us and 6 pieces of luggage and more than likely a couple of us will go in an uber/lyft to the villa.

I have two questions:

Is this car big enough?

What should I haggle/upgrade/ask for/bribe to fit all of us and the luggage in.

Please don't say a 15 seater transit!

Cheers

It will be a tight squeeze. Personally I’d go for a 9 seat ford econoline van or similar as it only has nine seats and not 12, you’ll have extra room for luggage.

OP. The chances of getting a 9 seater are slightly less than zero with Alamo.

7 adults will be a tight fit every day, but with 5 + 2 children it will be ok.

The only other options are an 8 seater minivan (very expensive) or a 12 seater van. Even the 8 seater will struggle with the cases but it may work.

I would play the Tetris game and/or get an Uber as well.

Seven seat minivan will be fine. You may have to pack between the seats in front of the kids, but it’s an airport to accommodation trip only so you will be oK but a tight squeeze
