Excited about Disney
|
Elveden gets our vote. Compared to longleat it’s easier to get around with no train and everything is close. Kids love the pool & we always book an early water activity so we’re first on the slides!

Stayed at Longleat, Elverden, Woburn and Meet Harel or whatever its called all ahave plusses and minus's for me.
Longleat - I would not stay there again its too hilly and the sports centre is miles away from the eating and swimming, it is the prettiest though. Elverden - love it favourite UK one been about 6 times, nice and flat and everything together also has a good Indian near by and a massive Sainsburys to avoid getting ripped off on site Woburn - smaller and newer which is good better than longleat but not as good as Elverden the swimming complex is of course newer but smaller (dues to site size) also hilly. Het Meervel (or whatever its called) this cost us half what the UK one would have cost including the ferry ! Very similar to Eleverden maybe the swimming complex not quite as good. Small site flat and no spa, great kids indoor play area and activities cheaper than comparable in the UK but not all activities run all day which can be annoying. Food poor and expensive in part probably due to the £. Its close to the nearest town (where there is not a lot to see) and lots of cycle paths. The accom is old clean and functional but like Eleverden pre woodland upgrades, beds more comftable. THe main downside is that they allow check in every day and many (mainly Belgiums and Germans) ignore the no car rule which is not as good as UK |

We prefer to Whinfell to Sherwood but Sherwood does have a better pool/water rides. In fact I just booked Whinfell again yesterday.

I prefer Elvedon - nice and flat. Woburn is ok but a bit small and hilly. Least favourite is Longleat as it's far too hilly for bikes and my son came home with 2 tics I had to remove!
