Is it for the school holidays or would you be going out of the school holidays. Our first trip we paid £1400-£1500 the flights were either side of the school holidays and that was for 2 ad and 3 children. So you can get them really cheap you are flexible

Lufthansa has some deals on flights from Manchester indirect if you can fly with handluggage. I was very tempted but I’m still keeping fingers crossed for BA from Newcastle.
My quote
Sat 25th July MAN-EWR-MCO
Sat 15th Aug MAN-FRA-MAN
2 ad +(13yr) 1ch (11) £2588.16

So if there's a bargain, I wont be able to book it
Like you I've been monitoring... The jump in prices from this morning is incredible! Our return journey doesn't open until Monday but I've been tracking flights since Friday to see how they're going. Checked this morning and I could have got 4 adults for £1876.34 checked the exact same flights 10 minutes ago and they are now £3132.84. An increase of almost £1,300! Route and dates were:
GLA-LGW-MCO out on 25 August
MCO-LGW-GLA retrun on 3 September.
Both the outbound and return flight had increased in price.

That's what we did we booked flights about 90 days before we went (our first trip , very disorganised and didn't know what we were letting ourselves in for lol) But I reckon if you can hold your nerve you will get a great deal

I've remembered you can cancel within 24 hours so IF there's something decent in the morning I can book and then see how it goes tomorrow with leave approval!
