It's A Long Way To Itinerary Day 12 Vegas Strip
Day 12
Today a tour of the strip was on the itinerary. Our first stop was the Village it was empty and the shoes I had seen in Sketchers were far more expensive than the same shoes in the outlets. We then wasted another forty-five minutes stalking a bloke who Larry insisted was a top Premiership footballer. Apparently, the footballer had been out injured for months. I must admit he looked a bit like a footballer he had a ponytail peeking out from his pulled down baseball cap and the mandatory blonde Barbie on his arm, but he had cankles. Cankles? Fat ankles. I later googled pics of the footballer’s legs and he deffo didn’t have cankles. We carried on to the Strip and looked for parking. The car park of choice was the Flamingo and there was a right faff parking the car we kept going the wrong way and at one point finished up in the delivery bay. Of course, it was all my fault. Welcome to fight club. Parking was 5 dollars for the day. We had a trip round the Flamingo and took loads of boring photos. Our Lily needed medication, so we had a trip around Walgreens I was amazed at how expensive it was compared to the Walgreens not on the strip. We crossed the road to Caesars’ now I know that Caesars has shopping concourse but fancied nobody was interested so we had a quick look around. A drink was needed drink to restore happy moods. The next stop was the Bellagio to see the conservatory. It’s well worth seeing and its free. The location is next to the casino and near the hotel check in area. They change the theme throughout the year. Most of the exhibit is made of artificial flowers and they make a superb job of it. We chose the Earl of sandwich for a quick lunch. Considering the location, it's a very good deal . As we were returning for the evening we went back to the Tahiti and lazed around the river. An early tea in Denny’s and we were ready and waiting for the 5.30 bus. The bus stopped at the Mirage, but it was too early to watch the show. We crossed the road and I am not sure which hotel we were in but we stopped for a drink. We paid, I really can’t do with this gambling thing and then waiting for a server. An exploration of the Venetian was next and our Lily declared it to be her favourite for once we agree on something. Back across the road to the Mirage and found a really decent spot to watch the volcano. With a couple of minutes to go I was surrounded by a pack of girls of far Eastern appearance. They were leaning over me to photograph one even rested her camera stick on my shoulder. Then another pushed in sideways on and stuck a huge screen in my line of vision. I couldn’t see a thing because I’m a little teapot short and stout. These people were clearly suffering from B.S.I.S brazen soddin ignorance syndrome and there is only one remedy. Have you ever been at Disney and copped a decent squat for the parade, sat there for two hours only for someone to rock up at the last moment and squat right in front of you? I’m pretty sure it’s the British that get narked the most because we have a great attitude towards queuing and fairness. The only trouble is when somebody jeopardises our position BOB sets in. Bloody Outraged Brit. Any BOB who has queued should be granted license to bump off any person who pushes in. My first job was to sort that bloody camera stick resting on my shoulder. I stepped back and pushed it off my shoulder and in doing so accidently trod on the person who was hanging on my back foot. The sideways person moved so I dodged under her arm and stood on her foot as well. Check your manners at the door ladies because they aren’t welcome in my circlet and if you need space join bloody NASA. There was a lot of cackling and finger pointing going on, but I wasn’t bothered I’ve never been popular I realised that in my first year of high school when the sports captain put me down to be the goalie for the javelin throwers. I do sometimes wonder how much I can get away with and still go to heaven. Anyway, the mirage volcano was watched and admired so we slogged on to the Bellagio because Lily and Larry hadn’t seen the dancing waters. Our luck was in they started as soon as we got there. They are a joy to behold and no I’m not being sarky. Across the bridge to Paris and we were starting to flag. The queue for the tower was fifty minutes, so we didn’t bother. It’s a lovely hotel but I find the girls dancing on the bar top a bit tacky especially since I noted a Perv stood watching them. The others were having a small wager on the slots I preferred to stand and stare at the perv. I had my “Go ahead punk, say something and make my day” face on but he slunk off. We were quite tired so opted to get a taxi. We sat out on the balcony whilst our Lily had her foot medicine according to her “Apple” we had walked 18kms that day. |

The Bellagio display looks amazing, you managed to visit loads of hotels too. I’m glad you took your spot back, people can be so selfish!
