I think so but indirect? (Might be wrong). I’ve been looking to travel from Oakland or maybe San Jose - direct flights from both.

I always fly out on AA and will again in a few weeks

Can’t fault them at all and they have Wi-fi on board which is handy .

Thanks all

If BA and AA are quite alike I wonder why AA are cheaper

About Alaska airlines. To use avios do you still book through BA website?

With AA do they charge for cases as extra? What about if using points as well?

Thanks again
No you call the BA call Center to book Alaska. Same for Aer Lingus. We’re flying home on aer Lingus from LAX for 33,000 Avios and $70 total. Using Avios on the partner airlines is our “secret” to making long haul travel affordable.

You can check availability on AA as they show Alaska too. You’re looking for the saver reward fare and once you see availability just book online on BA for the AA flights or call BA for Alaska and they will waive the phone fee (because you can’t do it online)

We booked our San Diego and LA hotels on Pountshound through the BA eStore. The two hotel stays will get us 32,000 Avios so I find Avios brilliant.

Hi
As soon as you booked were you able to book your seats?
