Is there going to be a target at Disney?

Not sure if there is another thread about this somewhere - I didn’t see one.

Was watching Tim Tracker at the D23 conference and there was a partnership with Target announced. Then the Target guy said they were going to build a target ‘right here at DisneyWorld’ (even though he was in California at the time).
Was it just a joke or are they really going to build a Target at WDW?

I haven't heard anything about Target going into either Disney Land or World. However Disney Stores are opening up in certain Target Stores within the US.

Interesting... people here are pretty geeked about Target selling Disney Store merchandise (even if it is selected stores). Disney has closed down so many of their own stores.

Wonder what it means by "near" - the one on 192 near Formosa isn't far away, especially using Sherberth Road.

i just cannot see what disney will get out of it

people will buy a slab of bottles of water for the same price as one in the parks

then we have the people buying " snack " stuff, why buy a bag of cheetos at the park when you can buy 10 in walmart for the same price
