It's not worth risking the bites, if easier ask Alamo to deliver a replacement. It's happened to us twice and they did say it was something that happens quite often. We were driving down to the Keys and noticed the odd one, by the time we arrived there was a small army. Don't risk it , just get shot of it asap. Enjoy the rest of your holiday, hopefully your exchange will be a descent car.
