My is 27 years old and has a yellow stain on it, but I still have it. Mine is short and doesn’t take up much room, keep it for a while until you decide what to do x

Maybe it would be a good idea until I get my head sorted. It won't be in my way if I put it in the loft for a little bit.

Mine has been in the attic for 18 years, I would hate to see the states it’s in lol
I am not sure why I kept it and I am not even sure if my veil is up there too lol I am not very sentimental though or I would need a bigger house

Was it used as a Halloween costume? Not sure how I would feel about that lol Though this is my problem. The rational side of me knows it is just a dress that I will never use again lol

I have my veil as well and considered keeping the veil as a memento (I guess a veil can be easily passed down as well)

I have only been married for almost 3 years and I still have mine. It’s a short wedding dress as I was married on a Florida beach. It’s in a box on the top of my wardrobe but I don’t really have the storage space but I think I might regret giving it away for some reason.
I to was going to suggest donating it for babies that have passed away. It’s what I will do with mine when I’m ready to give it away.

In hindsight, I would had sold/got rid of mine straight after the wedding when it was still in fashion. Now it’s boxed up and will probably never get taken out of the box but as it was 11 years ago I doubt I could do anything with it.

Sometimes they have a ball around here where people can re wear their dress but I don’t think I would go to onez

I think this is a lovely idea. I haven't heard of it until this thread. I definitely think it is what I will do though I'm just not sure when lol I feel so stupid

I have mine in the loft no idea why I'm divorced so has no sentimental meaning now. I looked into giving it to the place that takes them to make gowns for angel babies. The last time I checked they couldn't accept any new donations.
Mines sat there for 23 years laughing at me as I couldn't get one boob in it now 😆

My dress went down the aisle twice , once on me and then I let a young work colleague use it for her wedding as she was only 19, skint and pregnant, so she was really grateful. Then a few yrs later I gave it to a charity shop. I don't regret it, I like to think it was hopefully used again.
