How flexible are Disney
Booked direct with Disney, but not sure if the dates or resort are what I want. Dates depend on when son starts university and cost of flights on certain days, when they are released, so am fairly flexible on when I go. I'm looking on the website now and loads of new resorts have appeared but no dining plan included and some resorts that were offering dining plan now don't for certain rooms.
I am waiting for OKW to be released for my dates and thought they would have been on now. I haven't even booked the flight yet and I know it's almost impossible to cancel/amend a flight cheaply, if at all, so what I book flight wise will have to be the dates I go, so hoping Disney are more flexible to fit around my flight. Actually starting to panic a bit now, and that it's not going to work out well. |

I have found that Disney are really helpful if you want to make changes or just information about options. Obviously it will be dependent on availability. Easier to change than flights I would imagine. Just give them a call on the UK free phone No to check out your possibilities, hopefully that will reassure you.

Disney will amend booking, subject to availability for £50 amendment fee if cost of booking is equal to or less than original booking cost. If new booking is for greater value than the original, the £50 fee is waived.

That's reassuring, thank you. It's mad, you have to book the resort so far in advance so as not to miss the special offers but can't book the flight for many months later. It's the availability of the rooms that are a worry as it's difficult enough finding a suitable room, then risk it not being available when the flights are booked. Didn't realise it was going to be so stressful, and that's before the dining and fastpass reservations madness starts.

I know a lot will book for longer than they need then cancel if necessary- if you are doing a package- only put 1 person in the room then when you add others later when flights booked. If adding others with their parks tickets the cost should go up even if you are going less days.
another option is book what a you think you need - Worst case - you need to book room only at another hotel for a day or two either side if you cannot amend the dates to suit flights |

Be careful as if you change the booking you may lose free dining

Possibly but only if the new resort isn’t included in the offer.
OP, Disney are very good at making changes but only if there’s availability. It tends to follow if it’s available on the website then you should be fine. |

I have recently extended my stay and they did it within seconds, no wait on the phone either! They're very helpful in my opinion. Im sure you will be fine to change things, I've read lots of posts on here about people amending bookings and only read good things!
