Avis paperwork - or lack of it...

Picked our car up from Avis yesterday - I’m a preferred member but due to changing my cc I had to go to the kiosk in the garage - got given a card type slip with all the breakdown charges etc on - didn’t sign anything - so no paperwork as such and then none either on exiting the gate...

So no actual paperwork just a slip of card - is this correct? Had a couple of sheets of paperwork before - just worried there is no evidence as such if insurance which you have to carry in the car

They effectively work paperless now, they give you that slip which is your proof of hire and you can access your hire details online to print off

I know Alamo for donkeys years now have an insurance slip in the glove box. It's about a 5" square bit of paper in plastic normally.

Our Avis car last week had a plastic see through bag with insurance and instructions in case of a claim in the glove box. First time I have ever noticed this.
