Thomas Cook Premium?

We have recently had to cancel our holiday (well postpone until next year) due to an illness in the family, which has meant us not getting a refund on our Virgin Atlantic flights and having to go through our Travel Insurance company to get the money back.

We are looking at flights for next year and have noticed that Thomas Cook fly exactly when we want and it doesn't cost much to add the flex option which would mean we can cancel up to 24 hours before we fly should our situation not have improved by then.

We have never flown long haul with Thomas Cook and wondered what their flights were like, especially Premium which is the option we would prefer, has anyone got any thoughts on this?

It's fine I have flown it many times, including premium.
Personally I would pay over the odds for premium, maybe £100 extra each tops.
Food out is standout, very tasty.
It is appalling coming back, worst I've ever had last year which was meant to be pasta, but was mush.
Seat entertainment in standard is poor, and we had to use tablets to stream going out. It wouldn't work with the latest Android version. But I don't really care as I have Netflix stuff downloaded.
At the end of the day it's 8.5 hours out, and 7 back. I often sit at my desk for nearly twice as long. I don't get too fussed as long as it gets me there on time. I am paying for school holiday flights multiple times a year so spending often 10k a year on flights in cattle, so I want it cheap.

Hold off booking Thomas Cook, apparently they are very close to collapse - possibly the next 24hrs. Think this is what Warkman means.

Yes. If you book now yiu May lies your deposit if tge firm goes under. I woukd wait 48 hours to see if tge issue of insolvency goes away, if they can get a £200 million additional cash injection
