Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex to Close Due to Threat of Severe Weather from Hurricane Dorian.

In anticipation of severe weather in Brevard County and to allow employees time to make preparations at their homes, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex will be closed Sunday, September 1 though Tuesday, September 3.

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex will be open during regular operating hours of 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 31 but no Kennedy Space Center Bus Tours or Special Interest Tours will be available.

While there will be no KSC Bus Tours to behind-the-scenes areas of NASA and the Apollo/Saturn V Center, all other visitor complex attractions, exhibits, movies and programs will be available, including Space Shuttle Atlantis®, Shuttle Launch Experience, Astronaut Encounter, Journey to Mars: Explorers Wanted, 3D space films and more.

During this closure:

• Visitors will not be permitted onto visitor complex grounds.
• Non-essential employees will be dismissed.

Preparations at the visitor complex are well underway in anticipation of severe weather due to Hurricane Dorian.
