I would not use Homeaway again after this year. In the future I would try booking direct with the owner. You get a much more personal service without using a middle man.

Used them a few times and I’ve never had problems. What happened to you?

I always contact owner before booking. I did have an issue where owner hadn’t specified 7 days or more when I enquired about 5 days. Fortunately this was picked up in my email to them. I noticed they updated their property description after that.

VR60 homes is the one we used and found a gorgeous villa on Orange Tree,we have stayed there 6 times so we think its good

used a facebook group last year, that was a big mistake had an awful experience even though the groups admin claimed all villas were checked

Used homeaway and DIBB without problems.

Lots of the sites above add admin fees onto the booking - meaning you pay more than you would if you go direct with the owner. Recommend you look on here or vr360home and do the checks outlined in the Villa sticky on the Accommodation forum. Happy hunting (one of my fave booking bits)!
