Suggestions for resorts with communal facilities please😎

We’re looking for accommodation for August 2020 and having stayed close to idrive twice we would like a change of scenery. We want a more relaxing holiday...and to explore further afield so easy access to main routes would be a plus. A resort with communal facilities and things to do such as a large pool/bar/restaurant for pool/villa days, also I’m the only one that drives so if there is such a resort that also has a convenience store/diner/restaurants in walking distance would be very attractive, especially if we could also get somewhere with our own pool and we won’t be doing any parks TIA

We’ve been looking into this as well. Windsor Hills looks good for facilities and has a small shop and, I think, a bar on site. Cost is quite high though.

Hope you get more replies soon.

Been looking on another thread and the LBV area seems to be a good option...That said OH has now decided he’d like to give driving a go this time so we can look at more areas and villas. The Grove resort looks fab, but I’d like our own pool. Oh how to keep everyone happy?

We stayed on the Solterra resort , it’s near Championsgate , we had a lovely villa with our own private pool and the use of the resort facilities , large pool with a slide, Lazy River , snack bar, lounge with free coffee machines and a small gym . We really enjoyed our stay there . we weren’t doing parks so distance wasn’t an issue for us .

That sounds really nice, I did have a look at some villas there a while ago but they seemed very expensive when there's only three of us but I will have another search

Ah yeh , there was six of us , two grandparents and my daughters family of four , we shared the villa price which makes it better value , it was a gorgeous villa , we wanted our own pool and the benefit of using a resort as well , we really enjoyed it there , I loved the lazy river , we only used the snack bar on a couple of occasions as we would just pop back to the villa for snacks or take them with us . Plenty of sun loungers available and also several Cabanas which were free to use . We enjoyed a few games of volleyball in the pool too .
I can understand your point though about the villa prices , its not very cost effective for three of you .

We've just booked a 4 bed at Emerald Island for next august, is close to the 192 and has a few communal pools, clubhouse and a pool tiki bar serving snacks and drinks. Did have one at Solterra provisionally booked but my parents wanted to be closer to the parks and a pool bar that was open every day as they wont always be coming to the parks with us!

Did you find one? We are in the same boat but there is only two of us.
We were swaying towards The retreat at Championsgate but all the ones I looked at the pools were very overlooked. Back to the drawing board.

How about margaritaville? Options for rooms or cottages with plenty of things to do incl a water park.

I've just booked today . It's taken ages to find an unoverlooked villa at a reasonable price! We found a lovely 4 bed villa on Glenbrook Estates, it overlooks the lake from the pool & spa and hedges to provide some privacy. There is a community pool & gym and Walgreens is a 5 min walk away for the essentials. It doesn't have bar but I thought with Walgreens so close we could buy our own and have a drink by the pool in the evening if little Miss JT wants a swim
Walmart 5min drive, Cagans crossing is a 5 min drive with a few restaurants, Berry Town Centre 10 mins, so it ticked most of my boxes
