Afternoon All,

Has anyone stayed on Highgate Park recently ?

any thoughts ?

Stayed many times and as recently as April. Suits us as we never go to the parks so driving time to WDW is not on our agenda but there is a good short cut anyway.

Dozens of restaurants near Rolling Oaks 10 minutes away and at Berry Town Center less than 5 minutes away.

We are booked into 613 Highgate Bvld, we do the parks and I drive, we had stayed at Calabay Parc in the past so know the area.

Yes same place. At the end of Legacy Park Boulevard and turn left. Make sure you stick to the speed limit as the sheriff often parked up and watch for the school buses first thing and mid-afternoon.

One day in April we turned out of the gate to the stop sign. Which of course I did but the guy right behind me just slowed down but didn't stop. The sheriff spotted him and flashed his "Reds & Blues" as if to say "I spotted you - don't do that again"

Stayed on Highgate Park Boulevard with friends last September, nice quiet area and the villa was great (think it might actually have been a dibb villa, our friends booked it).

In case you did want the short cut to WDW here goes. If not just ignore it.

Google maps will help just to follow my notes. It sounds complicated but trust me as you are driving the same north/east journey mileage wise but avoiding most of the traffic lights.

Go straight over the lights (when they are green ) on to Florence Villa Grove Road past Bahama Bay to the 4 way with the school on the corner. Turn left on Westside Boulevard as far as right turn on to Funie Steed Road. Drive around 3 miles to the 4 way with Formosa Gardens Bvd. Turn left and join 192 near Red Lobster. Turn right and get immediately into the left lane and turn into the "famous" Sherberth Road. Right to the end and pick up Osceola.
