is 2hr 45 enough for xfer in atlanta on 23 december?

hi all

still not booked my christmas flights

found a decent deal flying via atl with x fer time of 2hr 45 on 23 december - do you think this is enough time considering its christmas?

really nervous as only ever flown direct

You should be fine with that. I would assume given the extra passengers at Christmas time they would have more immigration staff.

This is how the process works:

- You should get boarding passes for both your flights when you check in in the UK.
- You get off the plane in Atlanta and go through US immigration.
- Pick up your bags at the carousel and there should be a recheck in point just after the baggage hall.
- Go back through security and then onto your gate.


If you’re flying through Atlanta on the way back home as well then the above doesn’t apply. Your bags will be checked all the way through to the Uk and you won’t see them again until then. After your internal flight you’ll exit straight back into the gate area and you can then make your way onto the next gate from there.

thanks so much thats great - i will hopefully be booking seats near the front so we can get off first too and also taking minimum travel baggage!

Do you know if we can check in at disney resorts?
