14 day Disney ticket with DDP for 18 day holiday
Sorry if the title is confusing
We are literally about to book AKL for next August. It works out at 18 nights to suit the flights. If we get the 14 day ticket does it mean we still get the DDP for our whole trip or just the 14 days of the park tickets? I know we can get a 21 day ticket for extra but taking away say the 2 travel days plus we want to chill on the resort for a day or 2 we think it would be pointless. TIA |

Yes you’ll get DDP for 18 days. It’s linked to the hotel stay not the ticket length.

You will get the dining plan for the whole stay. Remember the 14 days (well 15 really) will start from first use, so if you start the tickets on day 2, you wont have park access on your last day for example.

A 14 day tickets can be used to enter parks on 14 days out of 15 consecutive days. So, once you use it to enter a park for the first time, your countdown to it expiring starts. You need to bear this in mind if you want to go to the parks on your last day, because if you activate your ticket too early, you won't be able to. It isn't any 14 days within your 18 night stay. It's 14 days out of 15 from the day you first use it.

I noticed this and bought the 21 day pass to cover our 19 nights in Disney. We wanted flexibility to come and go as we pleased the whole holiday.

We upgraded to the 21 day tickets, it was an extra £6pp. We were there 18 nights but it just meant we could go the first day and the last day.

We upgraded our tickets for £20pp (14 day to 21 day) for our 16 night holiday which meant we could use them on arrival day and departure day - it would cost more than £20 each to find something else to do.

Remember that you don't want to plan park restaurants until you've activited your tickets.
And if they expire towards the end of your trip you won't be able to use park restaurants. Still use all the other girls and Disney springs etc.

So in reality’s what everyone is saying pay a few extra quid and get a 21 day ticket to give you that flexibility.
