Returned to work too soon after Florida?

I know many of you will think I'm a martyr (and you would be right), but I frankly regret my kindness to my customers as I've taken too much work on this week. I wasn't planning do any work this week having only landed on Saturday, but my wife suggested it might help with the jet lag (to avoid me staying in bed late), so yesterday (Wednesday) I did a 2 hour job, today I've done a one hour job and I'm about to do another job shortly (about 45 minutes of work). Tomorrow I have a one to two hour job, and Saturday (I rarely ever work Saturdays) I have a 15 minute job.

In retrospect I feel I have taken too much on so soon after my holiday. Has anyone else ever returned to work too soon after their Florida trip?

I do feel Mrs MH is 99.99% to blame, so I have to accept 0.01% of the blame.

I would love to stay and chat, but I have a 6 minute drive to my next job and a 6 minute drive back. Including the 45 minutes doing the job I will be offline for almost an hour!

When we arrive back on a Wednesday the wife returns to work wednesday evening.

As soon as I walk through the door from holiday I am back at work, unpacking, washing, cooking, food shopping, even in retirement there are necessary duties , by doing your little shifts MH you are being let off light , mrs MH however will be left to tackle all the other duties while you sit drinking tea , eating biscuits and chat the hind legs off a donkey to your customers 😉
